Toulouse Table Makeover

I have a beautiful timber table in my home that sits perfectly between two large French doors. It is the perfect spot to write a thank-you note to a friend or to make my list of new project ideas. I have had this piece in my home for years so I decided it was time to make over this beautiful table. I wanted something fresh and bright for my home and decided to go with my Blake & Taylor Chalk Furniture Paint in Toulouse.

This colour was inspired by the shutters on the windows I saw while in Toulouse and now every time I look at this table, I will be reminded of the location that inspired this soothing colour.

I started by painting the entire table using my 25mm round paint brush and making sure that it was all coated evening. I got into all the little sections of the carvings which was really easy with my round brush.

Once the paint was dried, I used my 50mm Paint Brush to dry brush Blake & Taylor Chalk Furniture Paint in New White 0n the raised and carved sections. I love being able to accent certain parts of a piece by using the dry brush technique.

As always I finished this project with Blake & Taylor Clear Top Coat.

I absolutely love how my table turned out! What do you think?
